Yamuna Group of Institutions, July 28, 2026: The district-level events of the 59th Haryana State School Sports Competition (2026–27) were inaugurated today at the Yamuna Group of Institutions. The ceremony marked the official start of inter-school competitions across multiple sports and saw enthusiastic participation from students, school representatives, and institution staff.
ADC yamunanagar Sh. Naveen Ahuja ji, was present as the chief guest for the inauguration. DEEO Sh.Ashok rana ji ,beo jagadhri,beo saraswati nagar and beo radaur were also present.The program included video presentations featuring athletes from participating schools, and all faculty of the Yamuna Group were also in attendance. The competitions were formally declared open with a traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp.
ADC Navin Ahuja addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of sports in students’ holistic development. He emphasized that regular participation in sports builds physical fitness, teamwork, discipline, and character, and urged schools to encourage broader student involvement in athletic activities.
On behalf of the Yamuna Group, CEO Shri Arjun Johal welcomed the competing students, coaches, and officials. He extended his best wishes to all participants and reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to supporting youth sports and providing safe, well-organized venues for athletic competition.
The district-level matches will feature students from numerous schools and will serve as qualifying rounds for the state-level championships. Organizers expect high levels of sportsmanship and spirited competition over the coming days.
