About Us
Yamuna Institute of Education (YIE) offers a two-year regular B.Ed. course approved by the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) &affiliated with Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. The college aims to play a crucial role ni ensuring sustainable development and pursuing excellence in the area of teacher education in the country. YEI is preparing professionally competent teachers who can take on the challenges of today’s changing realities in schools and meet the growing expectations of young learners, parents and society.

Myself Dr. Neelam Dhamija, Principal, Yamuna Institute of Education (YIE) welcome you to our Two Year B.Ed. programme.
YIE envisages:
• value oriented education.
• providing training for various teaching skills including skill of introducing the lesson, skill of explanation, skill of stimulus variation & skill of reinforcement.
• emphasis on the development of communication skills i.e. verbal and non-verbal skills.
• special programmes are arranged for enhancing linguistic skills of listening speaking, reading & writing.
• encouragement of practice based learning.
• celebration of various festivals and days for social and cultural development of prospective teachers.
• well equipped library with more than 6153 books including latest educational journals, encyclopedia and reference books.
• well established ICT Lab, Curriculum Lab. and Art & Craft Lab.
• well qualified and experienced faculty.
• provision of special training to prospective teachers for qualifying various eligibility tests like HTET, CTET etc. for better placement.
• arrangement of practice teaching programme in nearby schools.
Admission Procedure
The Admission to the B.Ed. is made on the basis of marks in the Qualifying Examination and through On-Line counseling by the authorized State University of Haryana Government.
ELIGIBILITY
Candidate with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor Degree and/or in the Master’s Degree.
Note :
1) There shall be no rounding off of a percentage of marks of the qualifying examination from 0.5% and above to the next higher number for determining the eligibility i.e. 49.5% and above will not be rounded off to 50%.
2) 45% marks for SC/ST/Blind / physically handicapped and Visually Impaired candidates.
3) Compartmental candidates will not be allowed admission in B.Ed. (Regular Course) in any case.
FEE STRUCTURE
B. Ed. Course Fee –

₹ 48,000/- ( 1st Year ) | ₹ 45,000/- ( 2nd Year )
Hostel Fee –
- Hostel charges three seater room – ₹ 60,000/- ( Per Year )
- Hostel Security ₹ 2000/- ( Refundable ) will be charged.
